The internets were created over nine thousand years ago by Chuck Norris.  Initially, the internets were supposed to be an electronic cat storage unit; however, when the ancient Spartans started laughing at how ridiculous Chuck's notion was, the cats became known as "lolcats" and the Spartans were roundhouse kicked off the face of the earth.  The internets were then closed for at least 100 years, to be discovered by Al Gore about 42 weeks before last Thursday, give or take a few years.  When the internets were opened up, inside jokes called "memes" started to emerge, which flooded the intertubes thus generating massive lulz.  Memes continue to be the #1 alternative power source for the interwebs to this day.
